Finland to deliver more defence materiel assistance to Ukraine
Finland will deliver another package of defence materiel to Ukraine. The President of the Republic decided on the matter on 17 November 2022 on the proposal of the Government.
This will be the tenth package of defence materiel to be delivered to Ukraine, with the value of EUR 55.6 million. The combined value of all defence materiel packages submitted by Finland to Ukraine is now EUR 160.4 million.
- Ukraine continues to need support in defending its territory. The range of defence materiel now being sent is largest so far, says Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen.
For operational reasons and to ensure that the delivery reaches its destination, more detailed information on the content of the assistance, manner of delivery or schedule will not be provided.
Both Ukraine’s needs and the resources of the Defence Forces have been taken into account when deciding on the additional assistance.
Following Russia’s invasion, Ukraine has requested materiel assistance from the EU and NATO member countries.
