Minister of Defence Stefan Wallin to Moscow
Minister of Defence Stefan Wallin makes an official visit to Moscow on 13 to 15 February 2012. The visit is hosted by Russian Minister of Defence Anatoli Serdjukov who visited Finland in February 2010.
The agenda of this visit will focus on the military political situation in the world and Europe; the reform process of the Russian Armed Forces; and the Finnish Defence Forces reform. Bilateral cooperation and its development, the continuation of visits and student exchange as well as environmental cooperation between the defence administrations of the two countries will also be part of the discussions.
On Tuesday 14 February, Minister of Defence Stefan Wallin will give a lecture at the General Staff Academy of the Russian Armed Forces. The speech of Minister Wallin can be accessed on the website of the Ministry of Defence on 14 February at 11 a.m.
During his visit, Minister Wallin will also familiarise himself with airborne forces in Ivanovo.
