Vice Minister of Defence of Peru to visit Finland
Peruvian Vice Minister of Defence Mr Jakke Valakivi is to visit Finland from 30 March to 3 April 2014. His visit will be hosted by Minister of Defence Carl Haglund. The purpose of the visit is to familiarise with Finnish maritime cluster (activities related to shipyards, technology, education and training and the role of authorities).
The working visit of Vice Minister of Defense Valakivi also includes visits to companies and a meeting with representatives of the Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (AFDA). Vice Minister Valakivi is also to visit Helsinki Maritime Rescue Center (Coast Guard) and Vessel Traffic Service Center (Finnish Transport Agency) as well as the Gulf of Finland Naval Command.
During his working visit Vice Minister of Defence Valakivi will also visit Satakunta where he will familiarise himself with STX Finland shipbuilding knowledge and the maritime education and training programmes at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.
Vice Minister of Defence Jakke Valakivi will also meet the Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja.
