Long range 155 mm ammunition to be procured for the Defence Forces

The Defence Forces will procure long range 155 mm ammunition from Nammo Lapua Oy.

Long-range ammunition can be used, for example, for 155 mm armoured howitzers and they will considerably increase the range of the weapons system.

The overall value of the procurement without value added tax is about EUR 13 million. It will be financed from the supplementary budget which includes additional funding for rapidly launched defence materiel procurements.

The employment effect of the procurement in Finland will be about 18 person-years.
