Finnish Defence Forces to procure firefighting vehicles
The Finnish Defence Forces will procure fourteen fire engines and one foam tender from Scania Suomi Oy.
The vehicles will be equipped and outfitted by the Finland-based company Saurus Oy to the value of around EUR 10 million. This will have a significant employment impact in Finland.
The overall value of the procurement is nearly EUR 15 million, value-added tax excluded.“The procurement will significantly add to the capabilities of the Finnish Army CBRN units. It is important for Finland that we can rely on a wide range of domestic expertise and production capacity,” said Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen.
