Minister of Defence Kaikkonen to visit Sweden and Estonia
Minister Antti Kaikkonen will make his first official visits to Sweden and Estonia on 1 July 2019. He will conduct bilateral discussions with the defence ministers of the two countries.
In the morning of 1 July, Kaikkonen will meet Sweden’s Minister of Defence Peter Hultqvist at the Karlberg Palace, Stockholm. After inspecting the guard of honour, the defence ministers will discuss defence cooperation between Finland and Sweden, Nordic defence cooperation and international exercises.
After his visit to Sweden Minister Kaikkonen will travel to Tallinn where his programme includes a wreath-laying ceremony at the War of Independence Victory Column and a meeting with Estonia’s Minister of Defence Juri Luik. The two ministers will discuss bilateral defence cooperation and security situation in the neigbouring areas.
