Defence Administration’s sustainability report 2021 published

The Defence Administration’s sustainability report describes the administrative branch’s efforts to promote sustainable development. The focus areas identified in the 2021 report are stability and security, life cycle approach and circular economy, equality, non-discrimination and wellbeing of personnel and trainees, energy and climate responsibility, and environmental responsibility.

The report is based on the United Nations’ (UN) 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which contains in total 17 Sustainable Development Goals that all countries should achieve by 2030.

The report has been prepared based on the State Treasury’s guidelines on accountability reporting in central government. These guidelines are intended for all ministries, agencies and institutions to prepare them to draw up a sustainability report annually.
