Minister of Defence to visit Türkiye
On 7-8 December, Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen will pay a working visit to Ankara on the invitation of Minister of Defence of Türkiye Hulusi Akar.
The Defence Ministers will discuss Finland’s NATO membership process, general security situation and defence cooperation between the two countries.
Minister of Defence Kaikkonen will also lay a wreath at the Atatürk Mausoleum in Anıtkabir.
Depending on the schedule of the visit, the aim is to organise an online information session with Minister of Defence Kaikkonen for the Finnish media. The session is planned to take place on Thursday 8 December at about 13.30. Those who wish to attend should register by 7 December 2022 at 16.15 (riina.kauppila@gov.fi).
