The Nordic Ministers of Defence strongly condemn Russia’s actions in Ukraine
The Nordic Ministers of Defence today discussed Russia's actions in Ukraine and gave the following statement:The Nordic countries strongly condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Nordic ministers of Defence call on Russia to immediately cease its military action and withdraw its military forces from in and around Ukraine. Russia’s attack on Ukraine is a serious violation of international law.
The Nordic Ministers of Defence stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The ministers reaffirm their support to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Russia's military attack on Ukraine is a threat to the security of all of Europe. The Nordic Ministers of Defence remain in close contact regarding the situation and continue to consult with NATO and EU allies and partners.
