Defence Forces to procure bridge-laying tanks

Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen has authorised the Defence Forces to order bridge-laying tanks from Patria Land Oy. The order includes six Leopard 2L bridge-laying tanks which are used to ensure the passage of troops.


The overall value of the procurement, without value added tax, is about EUR 23.6 million. The tanks will be delivered to the Defence Forces in 2026-2028.


The procurement is expected to generate a domestic employment effect of about 70 person-years.
