Defence Forces to procure support services for systems

Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen has authorised the Defence Forces to procure support services for military aviation, naval defence, and intelligence, surveillance, and command and control systems from Patria Aviation Oy and Insta Group Oy. The main part of deliveries will take place in 2024-2027.   


As for Patria Aviation Oy, the procurement's total value, without value added tax, is approximately EUR 78.2 million. The Ministerial Finance Committee supported the procurement in its session on 21 Decem-ber 2023. The domestic employment impact in 2024 will be around 500 person-years and in the entire period 2024-2027, the employment impact will total around 750 person-years.


As for Insta Group Oy, the procurement's total value, without value added tax, is approximately EUR 29.4 million and the estimated domestic employment effect is about 50 person-years.


Both Patria Aviation Oy and Insta Gorup Oy are strategic partners of the Defence Forces. The partnership agreements cover life cycle support services for the aircraft and systems in military aviation, naval de-fence systems, intelligence, surveillance, and C2 systems.
